A destination wedding in Williamsburg, Virginia
Brittany and Chris chose Williamsburg, Virginia as their wedding destination. Brittany’s parents recently moved to the area and they fell in love with the scenic view at Two Rivers Country Club, which is perfectly situated on the water where the James and Chickahominy Rivers meet. Chris grew up in South Carolina and much of Brittany’s family was from up north, with Williamsburg conveniently located right in the middle.
The day itself could not have been more picturesque. In early November, it is rare that Virginia weather is as warm and sunny as it was that day. Brittany and Chris were married under the Two Rivers gazebo with the water in the background. During the ceremony, Brittany’s father, on guitar, and cousin, with vocals, performed Longer by Dan Fogelberg. This was the song that Brittany’s parents danced to on their wedding day, bringing past and present together.
Cocktail hour, dinner and dancing followed. Guests roamed the property, spending much of their time underneath the bistro lights and taking advantage of the beautiful scenic backdrop for photos.
