Lauren + Mitch's MARVELous Wedding at Dover Hall

We love the uniqueness of each couple we work with. There are so many factors that make a couple unique. The obvious factors being their style, their personalities, and how much help they need. But there are some less obvious factors that we have to identify to really create a strong working relationship. One of those things is trust - ultimately, how comfortable will the couple feel with following our lead. It's a tough balance really, couples come to us with a dreamed up vision of their day, it's their financial investment, and the memories are uniquely theirs to last a lifetime. But, as their wedding planner, we've been invited along the ride. For Lauren and Mitch - it was different than jumping in the car for their planning journey - it was as though they pulled up the car, handed over the keys, flagged down a cab and said "we'll see you at the wedding". This is, of course, metaphorically speaking - we spent countless hours on the phone and on facetime calls talking through the plans, the logistics, the design of their wedding day. The emails were endless and the vendor team we worked with robust.  But, where they took a step back was letting us be creative. Allowing us to throw crazy ideas at them like gothic candelabras and hanging flying keys. And they just rolled with it.These photos speak more than what I can say about their big day - but just know it was a wonderful experience working with them. Some of the hidden easter eggs you may (or may not!) find are:

  • their cake is a Harry Potter, animé, Dragon Ball Z dream come true

  • the hanging keys are a nod to Harry Potter

  • Dragon balls are hidden in the front entrance table design

  • Their signature drinks reflected their cinematic passions

  • appearances made by Thor's hammer, two wizard wands, and Marvel Infinity Gauntlet (we had to google this to figure out what it's called... and we aren't 100% sure we even got it right)
