Born from a need for creativity and a love for meaningful moments, Glint Events has gone from a one-woman show to being listed as a top wedding and event planning team in Central Virginia and the DC metro area. by the ranks of Virginia Living Magazine, The Knot, Wedding Wire, and Richmond Magazine.

Team CoordinatorResponsible for all things operations, Lizzie is an integral part of keeping Glint Events running smoothly. You'll find her supporting the planning team with lots of research, prepping the tool kits, and scheduling the staff for all our events!
Lizzie also juggles all of our marketing platforms - making us look good on instagram, our blog, Pinterest, and more! A natural at details, she’s the one keeping us all organized and our events on track.
Lizzie’s passions include her alma mater - Virginia Tech, spending time with family and friends, and traveling!

Founder & Managing DirectorGlint’s founder, Kate Franzen, pours herself into her events, providing enthusiastic and comprehensive planning, management, and support for weddings, celebrations, and corporate events. Prior to founding Glint Events, Kate spent time planning and executing complex events for a national corporation.
After obtaining her Masters degree in Marketing and Business, she threw herself into creating what has now grown to be one of the top Wedding and Event planning companies in Central Virginia. In her free time, you’ll likely find Kate dreaming about the future and spending time with her husband, kids and two Wheaten Terriers.

Senior Wedding PlannerBehind every exceptional wedding is an organized and creative planner, which is where Brooke thrives. From connecting with couples and delighting in the excitement of their big day to designing custom elements and keeping up with timelines, Brooke loves everything about wedding planning!
After graduating from High Point University, Brooke gained her event planning experience while living in Baltimore and working at the historic Belvedere. She moved to Richmond in 2022 and loves exploring the river city with her husband and Lab/Boxer mix, Lucy.

So much of what we do can’t be seen in the pictures from our events. Behind the scenes, we are committed to supporting black and minority owned businesses within the event industry. We strive to create a welcome and open environment for everyone we work with at each and every event.
