Natalie and Peter's Colorful Charlottesville Wedding
We're talking all about this stunning event for Natalie and Peter at the Farmington Country Club in Charlottesville, Virginia.
We have been obsessed with the fresh and fun vibe of this vibrant and pastel twist on a country club wedding! Together since college, but knowing one another long before, this couple was so loved by all of their family and friends. Natalie and Peter were a hands-off, no-stress couple and completely trusted us to take the reins on their event, encouraging vendors to let their creativity fly. The result—an epic and unforgettable wedding!
Guests were greeted at their ceremony with a colorful, cascading floral display draped across the church facade. We saw a more traditional ceremony with lots of white move into a colorful reception with a palm beach vibe. Stunning floral installations from Cultivate Event Cogoing into the ballroom, above the dance floor and next to “Bo’s Bourbon Bar” (an adorable homage to their new puppy) added unique and whimsical touches to the reception layout. Fun colored lounge seating, rugs and pillows from Paisley & Jade and lots of personalized artwork from Sue Corral Ink, including painted bar inserts mirroring the lace in the brides wedding dress, added eye-catching moments that completed the overall vibe.
The fashion forward bride wore stunning jeweled, pink pumps. She also made three outfit changes and looked beautiful each time. Her gorgeous Monique Lhuillier dress had three layers of bustles with sleeves that she wore during the ceremony and took off for the reception, and a ribbon in her hair for her final outfit was made from her moms wedding dress. The groom looked effortlessly stylish and polished in his Alton Lane suit.
At the reception, the father of the bride gave a speech that had every guest (and maybe us) in tears. Their first dance song was to "Love You for a Long Time" by Maggie Rogers -- a Glint team favorite!
